Website Design & Development Client Project

Middelfart Have & Anlæg is a gardening and landscaping company owned by a family friend who wanted a modern website to better present their services and make it easier for customers to get in contact. The goal of the project was to create a clean, trustworthy, and professional online presence that reflects the quality of their work.

I started the process in Figma, where I designed the layout and created full-page mockups to plan the structure, content placement, and overall user experience. This helped me get a clear overview of how the site should look and function before moving into development. The focus was on simple navigation, clear service presentation, and making important information easy to find.

The mockups shown here represent the different pages I designed as part of the process. They helped guide the visual direction and ensured consistency across the site while giving the client a clear idea of how the final result would look. From these designs, I then developed the website and turned the ideas into a functional and responsive solution.

MY ROLE AND TOOLS

For this project, I worked independently from the early design phase to the final website. I was responsible for planning the structure, designing the layout, and developing the site. The focus was on creating a simple, professional, and easy-to-navigate experience that clearly presents the company’s services and makes it easy for potential customers to get in contact.

FIGMA

I used Figma to plan the layout, create wireframes, and design full-page mockups before development. This helped me structure the content and ensure a clear and consistent user experience across the site.

VISUAL STUDIO CODE

The website was built using HTML, CSS and Java Script in Visual Studio Code. I translated the designs into a responsive and functional website, focusing on clean structure and usability.

ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD

Adobe Creative Cloud was used to prepare images and adjust visual elements. This supported the overall look and helped create a more polished and professional presentation.

WHAT I LEARNED

Working on Middelfart Have & Anlæg gave me valuable experience creating a website for a real business with real needs. It taught me how important it is to listen, understand what the client wants, and turn that into a clear and functional design.

Since this project was built from the ground up, I learned how to structure a site around services, contact information, and trust. I focused on making the layout simple, professional, and easy to navigate so potential customers could quickly understand what the company offers.

It also helped me grow more confident in working independently, making design decisions, and translating ideas into a finished product that someone can actually use in their everyday business.
